Commons Beach -- In the middle of Tahoe City, a large beach with a grassy area, kids swings, playground and a small parking area.

Skylandia Beach -- Off of Lake Forest Rd. 1/2 mile east of Tahoe City with picnic tables and fire pits. Stony beach.

Lake Forest Beach -- At the foot of Bristlecone off Lake Forest Rd. 1.5 mi. east of Tahoe City with picnic tables and fire pits.

Commons Beach Area, new amenities to the park include a climbing rock for children six and older, upgraded play areas, interpretive signage, improved and widely-dispersed picnic areas, multi-use seating area for 60 (ideal for small concerts or weddings), two large plaza/vista areas at either side of the park and a central entry from Tahoe City with a log arbor and stone walls. Natural colors and materials were used to blend in with the surrounding area and nearly 6,000 native flower, shrubs and trees were planted.

Historical Watson Cabin in Tahoe City:

The oldest structure still standing in Tahoe City is the Watson Cabin. The North Lake Tahoe Historical Society began restoring the cabin in 1991 and includes pieces from the early 1900's donated by longtime local residents. Fanny Bridge:

Crossing over the headwaters of the Truckee River one of the main outlets from Lake Tahoe, this bridge is a tourist favorite to watch spawning fish (leaning over the side of the bridge to do so... hence the "Fanny"). Located at the "Y" in Tahoe City, the intersection of Hwy 89 and Hwy 28.
