Beaches:
Commons Beach -- In the middle of Tahoe City, a large beach with
a grassy area, kids swings, playground and a small parking area.
Skylandia Beach -- Off of Lake Forest Rd. 1/2 mile
east of Tahoe City with picnic tables and fire pits. Stony beach.
Lake Forest Beach -- At the foot of Bristlecone
off Lake Forest Rd. 1.5 mi. east of Tahoe City with picnic tables
and fire pits.
Tahoe State Recreation Area -- Hwy. 28 on the eastern
edge of Tahoe City, next to McDonalds, $5 to park.

City with a log arbor and stone walls. Natural colors and materials
were used to blend in with the surrounding area and nearly 6,000

Historical Watson Cabin in Tahoe City:
The oldest structure still standing in Tahoe City is the Watson
Cabin. The North Lake Tahoe Historical Society began restoring the
cabin in 1991 and includes pieces from the early 1900's donated
by longtime local residents. This historic landmark is now a living

Fanny Bridge:
Crossing over the headwaters of the Truckee River one of the main
outlets from Lake Tahoe, this bridge is a tourist favorite to watch
spawning fish (leaning over the side of the bridge to do so... hence
the "Fanny"). Located at the "Y" in Tahoe City,
the intersection of Hwy 89 and Hwy 28.
