Tahoe Donner
Accessed off of Donner Pass Rd. via Northwoods Blvd. in the northwestern area of Truckee. Tahoe Donner has approximately 6,000 homesites with more than approximately 60% developed. Many of the properties in Tahoe Donner are second or vacation homes and condos. Tahoe Donner's Amenities include a campsite, equestrian center, cross country and downhill skiing, a golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, recreation & fitness center, beach and boat facilities at Donner Lake and more.

Donner Lake
Cute mountain community with smaller, older family vacation homes, with a couple of newer subdivisions offering vacant lots and/or new development. The lake itself is easily accessed from homeowners and visitors alike. Boating is allowed on the lake in a clockwise direction. The Donner Memorial State Park is at the eastern end with a museum, etc. and Donner Summit is along the west. The summit provides great spots for rock climbers and beautiful vista points. Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District maintains the west-end beach which has lifeguards, playground, picnic and barbecue areas, boat rentals and more.

Donner Summit
This is living in the mountains! Enjoy lots of snow and great recreation opportunities. Sugarbowl, Donner Ski Ranch and Boreal Ski areas are all located in this area.

Sierra Meadows & Ponderosa Palisades
This is a great central Truckee location close to Northstar-at-Tahoe, the Truckee River and more. Property owners in the Sierra Meadows subdivision have access to a community swimming pool and tennis courts. Ponderosa Palisades offers larger parcels, good sized homes and some horse properties.

Russell Valley
Acreage and views is what you will find in this forested subdivision. Nestled to the northeast of Truckee surrounded by open spaces, reservoirs, and mountains. Russell Valley and Hobart mills provide large acreage parcels for privacy, yet are conveniently close to town.

Gateway
Centrally located in Truckee, this area consists mostly of commercial development including; major grocery stores, restaurants, Hospital, library, retail, and schools. The residential areas here are mostly primary residences with Gateway and Meadows Park being the oldest Truckee neighborhoods was developed in the 1940's.

Armstrong Tract
Another area comprised mostly of primary residents, this area is located in the western area of Truckee, north of Donner Lake. Offering some less expensive homes and lots, some with views of the lake.

Prosser
This is a quieter area with many trees and a good amount of snow. The Prosser Area consists of the Prosser Lakeview Estates, Sugar Pine Estates and Prosser Lake Heights subdivisions. Located in the northeast area of Truckee with the newest Grays Crossing and Pine Forest to the south and Tahoe donner to the west.

Northstar-at-Tahoe
It is located between Truckee and North Lake Tahoe and is a year-round destination resort with alpine and nordic ski areas, a golf course, horseback riding, mountain biking, ropes course, rock-climbing wall, and guided nature hikes. Also, in the New Village at Northstar are a number of retail stores, restaurants, ice skating rink and much more. Most of the residential areas consist of homes, condos and just a few lots. Many property owners belong to the association with Swimming pools, and Fitness Center.

Pine Forest
This is a newer community that is currently being developed. Located off Hwy 89, just north of Interstate 80 and downtown Truckee. New custom mountain homes and lots are available.

Lahontan
North Lake Tahoe's only private gated golf club community, offering 18-hole and nine hole Par-3 golf courses, a variety of year-round family recreational amenities and 880-acres of Sierra parkland. Property prices for lots start at $300,000 and home prices start around $2,000,000.

Glenshire & Devonshire
The Glenshire and Devonshire subdivisions are located at the east end of Truckee. Most of the homes in this area are occupied by full-time residents. Glenshire has a homeowners association, a clubhouse and a pool and also equestrian easements. Within Glenshire are Cambridge Estates, the Meadows, Juniper Hills and Juniper Creek Ranch there is also an elementary school here.

Other Residential Areas
Other smaller residential subdivisions within Truckee include: Ponderosa Fairway Estates & Riverview area, west of the Airport Flats area; and Pannonia Ranchos, a rural, large lot subdivision east of Prosser Lakeview, Olympic Heights, The Meadows, Tahoe Boca Estates, Juniper Hills, Martiswood Estates, Blitz Tract, Donner Trail, Meadow Lake Park, and The Boulders.
