Location:  On the West Shore of Tahoe, 4 miles south of Homewood Resort.  18 miles to Alpine; 29 miles to Northstar; 21 miles to Heavenly.

D.L. Bliss & Emerald Bay State Parks:

Covering 1,830 acres in California’s Sierra Nevada, D.L. Bliss and Emerald Bay State Parks include some six miles of magnificent Lake Tahoe shoreline. From promontories such as Rubicon Point in D.L. Bliss State Park you can see over one hundred feet into the depths of Lake Tahoe. From the crest of Eagle Falls in Emerald Bay State Park, you can see a brilliant panorama of Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Lake Tahoe, and the distant Nevada shore.

The campgrounds are closed during the winter; depending on the weather, they are open from late May until the middle of September. Campsite reservations in California State Parks may be made by calling the current toll-free reservation hotline, (800) 444-PARK, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.Pacific Time, seven days a week. Reservations for tours at Hearst Castle and Ano Nuevo State Reserve will continue to be on a first-come, first-served basis until further notice.
